In 2025, the Support Fund for Bucha School reached a milestone: the completion and official handover of the Bucha Forest Classroom, a purpose-built, eco-friendly educational facility in the heart of a city still recovering from the devastation of war. On 21 February 2026, the Forest Classroom was formally transferred to the City of Bucha, ready to welcome children for workshops, learning activities, and development programmes.

It is with this milestone as our backdrop that we publish the Fund's financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2025, independently audited by BDO LLC in accordance with International Standards on Auditing and prepared in full conformity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). BDO issued an unqualified audit opinion on the Fund's financial position and performance.

Where Your Donations Went

The Forest Classroom was the centrepiece of the Fund's programme activity in 2025. All financial and in-kind donations received were channelled into its creation, covering the acquisition of straw wall panels and furniture for the classroom, as well as VAT and customs duties incurred on imported goods. These costs have been capitalised as construction in progress on the Fund's balance sheet.

During 2025, a total of €100,700 was invested in project work, bringing cumulative construction-in-progress assets to €261,500 as at 31 December 2025, a testament to the consistent and growing support of our donor community since the Fund's foundation in January 2023.

Fund management expenses for the year totalled €11,000 (2024: €7,600). We are pleased to report that this figure contains no personnel-related costs whatsoever. The Support Fund for Bucha School relies entirely on the dedication of its volunteers for all day-to-day operations and governance. Administrative expenditure was incurred primarily in connection with accounting and audit services, the professional oversight that enables us to report to our donors with the level of rigour and transparency that they deserve.
